Together with Haka House, Pocketspace teamed up to re-design the new brand for the 9 new sites throughout New Zealand.

In designing Haka Hostel Franz Josef, we aimed to create a warm, inviting environment that enhances the guest experience drawing inspiration from the surrounding environment for the colour palette. The striking feature wall made from local timber connects guests to the region's natural beauty.

The spacious communal areas are designed to foster social interaction, while private rooms offer a cosy retreat. By integrating sustainable materials and vibrant pattern, we crafted a unique atmosphere that reflects the spirit of Franz Josef. This project showcases how innovative hospitality design can elevate both comfort and community for travellers.
